This is not a fitness blog. My readers know that in my posts I usually tell a story and try to draw a moral or lesson from it about how to be mentally strong or gain wisdom. Occasionally I’ll sprinkle in a post or two (or ten) about adoption and family.

I love talking about mental strength because I think that anything you do on the outside has to begin on the inside. I believe that if you want to see changes on the outside, then your best move is to start getting strong on the inside.

Mental strength fuels physical strength.

But hey, it’s really hard to post your mental strength on Instagram so I know people want me to occasionally throw in a little work on the body as well.

So here you go. Be careful what you wish for.

Leading up to my last birthday I did a twelve day ab workout challenge. I let people follow along on social media and once I was finished I had a lot of requests for the entire twelve day plan. I’ve complied the entire twelve day workout program here.

Happy birthday to me. Good luck to you.

Here is each 5 minute ab workout for the entire twelve days:

Day 1. Let the fun begin!

Here is a sample of each exercise from day 1 to get you started on the right foot:

Day 2. Side planks are fun. Seriously. Day 2 is easy.

Here is a sample of each exercise from day 2 to keep you going.

Day 3. Pace yourself. 9 more days to go.

Day 4. Ok. You are starting to hit your stride. This is doable.

Day 5. Deep breath. No problem.

Here is a sample of each exercise from day 5. Get it!

Day 6. Halfway done. Is this challenge too easy?

Day 7. THREE AND A HALF MINUTES OF PLANKS! Is this guy insane?!

Day 8. Ok, these planks are out of control. This is unnecessary.

Day 9. Ok, I hate now. I have never hated anyone before, but now I do. I HATE whoever made this workout.

Day 10. The world record plank is over 8 hours. 5 minutes should be no problem.

Day 11. Ok, planks are over. Everything is ok. Wait, what? 2 minutes of side planks?

Day 12. Last day. See how easy that was?

Day 13. Good job! Let’s do it again.
